Our coffee is grown organically in the high altitudes of 1,300 to 2,600 meters above sea level on the Misty moutain ranges of East Africa.
Manya Coffee emulates from the combination of the Company founder’s surnames ‘Ma’- Maramwidze & ‘nya’- Banya.
One of the founders comes from a long history of coffee farmers and producers. His late grandfather cultivated coffee that enabled his father to go to school. His father in turn processed the coffee and was the first Ugandan to set up a coffee shop in Uganda. Coffee farming and production has its roots in his family’s history which has strongly contributed to the man he is today.
Manya Coffee was formed in Cape Town by two college friends from Uganda and Zimbabwe. We are a socially conscious company that is passionate about empowering the small holder farmers who actually produce these great coffees. Their principle is simple; giving farmers a larger stake in the sale of the roasted coffee that they produce.
We are socially conscious coffee.
We believe in producing and selling high quality coffee.
We are a brand rooted in our African culture and heritage.
